Herpes does not cause cervical cancer.

Cervical cancer is an HPV - Human Papillomavirus.

It was adopted in 1970 that herpes is a factor in the development of cervical cancer of the uterus, but that was dispproved many years - and the development of HPV vaccine Gardasil protects against the major strains of HPV that cause cervical cancer.

The only connection between the two is that increases the chance to get shingles, the number of sexual partners, increases which increases the risk of HPV. In this sense, herpes as an additional risk factor for cancer of the cervix, but only sometimes (!), An indicator that in the past with high-risk sex. Herpes itself is not involved in the development of cervical cancer.

You as an adult with genital herpes, herpes is not dangerous. It is simply a viral infection that is not dangerous and bothersome skin will not hurt. The biggest problem with Herpes in itself, but a big stigma attached.

As a woman, if you have a baby is a very low risk of transmitting the virus to her baby during vaginal childbirth. Neonatal herpes, as it is called, can be very dangerous for the baby, often resulting in death. But it is very rare, which, by antiviral drugs in the can before giving birth or a cesarean section can be avoided. As a rule, only occurs when a woman herpes for the first time during pregnancy.

Acyclovir may be useful to stop the outbreak, when you start the first warning signs of an incipient epidemic.

No warts, including HPV, causes cervical cancer of the uterus, not herpes. Herpes sucks and complicated life, but you know the risks - at home, extending to the members to explain to the partners at the beginning of a relationship, and so on. That is all.
